Design and Application of a
Complex Visual Identity System
Project aim:
To establish a visual identity system through the creation of a conference.
Conference goal:
Help people quickly understand AI technology and its application in the creative industry, and explore the possibility of technology application. Let people in the same industry conduct a forward-looking discussion on the impact of the technology industry, as well as the corresponding countermeasures and areas for improvement.
Design brief
The theme of this conference is controversial in the industry, and it focuses on hot issues of common concern in the industry.
I chose blue-purple as the main color theme for the conference. It's a suitable color that aligns well with the fashion sense of a technology conference. It's also fascinating to note that the display colors on print and electronic platforms will differ. To create my logo, I utilized the letters Ai from Ai impact and integrated circuit board and square elements, with varying board sizes to make it unique.
Course reflection
Throughout the visual design course, I had an amazing experience creating a visual system that we applied to a conference. We were tasked with producing various conference materials as well as two album cover for a music piece.
One of the most valuable aspects of the course was learning to use the visual system. We were encouraged to think critically and creatively about the logo design, ensuring that it was visually appealing and reflective of the conference theme. Also, the manual was valuable as well, it served as a guide for anyone who would use the visual system in the future, ensuring that the brand identity was consistent across all materials.
Overall, the course was an exciting and informative experience that taught me the importance of visual design in creating a brand identity. I feel confident in my ability to create a visual system that aligns with a brand's message and values, and I look forward to applying these skills in my future design projects.
